Abstract for the general public

This project aims to determine if there was a change in the metabolic parameters of people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) following Cyclone Yasi. Data regarding diabetes control will be collected from GP databases in the severely affected regions, and compared against two control GPs in Mackay.
