How do I add publications to my CV?

There are several ways to add publications to CV. Publications are retrieved from PubMed, SwePub, GUP and the data base of Researchweb.

It is important to enter work experience before adding publications. Publications are affiliated to the place of work at the time it was produced.

  1. Log in to Researchweb.
  2. Click your name at the top of the page to access your user account.
  3. Click the tab "CV" and then "Add CV" or "Edit CV" depending on whether you add publications for the first time or not.
  4. Click the button "Edit publication list".

Synchronize with SwePub account (The largest publication database in Sweden)

Publications can be fetched from SwePub to Researchweb since 2017. If you already have synchronized your publications with GUP (Gothenburg University Publication database), you do not have to synchronize with SwePub. This connection is automatically transferred. If you want to synchronize with SwePub:

  1. Click "Edit publicationlist".
  2. Click "Synchronize with SwePub".
  3. Follow the instructions.

Search for my publications

  1. Click "Search for my publications".
  2. A list with publications containing your name will be presented.
  3. Click the button "Filter" to remove publications of no interest.
  4. Study the list of publications and indicate "Get publication" for which you are the author.
  5. Click the button "get selected".

Make a habit of examining the list of publications to make sure no duplicates exist.

Search publication

  1. Click "Search publications".
  2. Fill out as many fields as possible to get the most precise search.
  3. Study the list of publications and indicate "Get publication" for which you are the author.
  4. Click the button "get selected".

Add publication manually

  1. Click "Search publications" to assure that current publication is not available in the data bases. If publication is not found, the button "Add manually" will appear. Click that button.
  2. Select type of publication in the drop down list.
  3. Enter all mandatory fields marked with "+".
  4. Click the button "Add publication".

Import publication

  1. Click "Import publications".
  2. Enter publications, at the most 20 at a time.
  3. Remove possible unpublished manuscripts.
  4. Publications must be Vancouver formatted. For example: Gunnarsson RK, Lanke J. The predictive value of microbiologic diagnostic tests if asymptomatic carriers are present. Statistics in medicine 2002:21(12):1773-85.
  5. Click "Import publications".

This is where you, manually, may enter scientific publications temporarily if you do not want to retrieve them from a data base.

Manuscript not yet accepted for publishing

This is where you, manually, may enter manuscripts not yet accepted for publishing.
