Girlhood to womanhood: Experiences of menarche, sexuality and sexual risks in Papua New Guinea.

Abstract for the general public

Exploratory study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of women's experiences at menarche in Papua New Guinea using pre-written open-ended guide. Key informants are purposefully selected from four regional groups in PNG. 8 FGD and 12 interviews will be conducted. Interview will be recorded, transcribed, coded and thematically analyzed.
